Overview and History of East Cental Ambulance Association
The service now named ECAA was purchased from Parkview Funeral Chapels, Ambulance Division on April 15, 1985. At the time of purchase, the service consisted of two van conversion ambulances and one Cadillac conversion which were based out of Castor, Coronation and Consort Respectively. To date, ECAA has 5 ambulances, one unit based in each community, a mechanical backup and a stand by unit for special events.

Structure & Organization Of The ECAA
1. The affairs of the East Central Ambulance Association (ECAA) are governed by a Board of Directors.
2. Board members are elected representatives from the councils of the municipalities
from:
Castor – 1
Coronation – 1
Consort – 1
Halkirk – 1
Veteran – 1
Special Areas #2 & #4 – 1
County of Paintearth #18 – 3
3. The Chief Administrative Officer of the County of Paintearth serves as Treasurer for the ECAA Board of Directors.
4. Management is provided by the Operations Manager as per the organizational chart on Page 2 of 2 of this policy.
